The Through Line
The thesis behind my career is straightforward: financial infrastructure either adapts or gets replaced. Every role from Citibank in New York to a top-3 global crypto exchange has been some version of the same bet on which side of that line comes out ahead.
The move toward digital assets was not a single decision. It was a slow accumulation of conversations, client questions, and signals from people I respected, all pointing in the same direction. Eventually the noise became consistent enough that ignoring it felt less like caution and more like avoidance. So I went in properly.

25 years across Citibank, TRM Labs, and a top-3 global crypto exchange, spanning New York, Asia, and three continents. The common thread: the point where established finance meets something it has not yet priced properly.

How I Think About the Work
Avoiding Risk is Not Managing Risk
Institutions that avoid the question are not safe. They are just unaware. Real risk management means understanding what you are holding, why you are holding it, and what happens when it moves against you. Uncertainty does not disappear because you stop looking at it.
Translation is the Skill
The gap between TradFi and Web3 is not technical. It is linguistic. Most failed conversations between boards and their crypto teams happen because both sides are describing the same risk in entirely different terms. Closing that gap is more valuable than knowing every protocol cold.
Operate Where Others Are Still Theorising
Institutional finance has always rewarded the people who arrived before the framework existed. 25 years across three continents and four market cycles has a way of making the pattern recognizable earlier than most people expect.
