What is a yield aggregator in DeFi?
A protocol that automatically routes and compounds yield across multiple strategies on behalf of depositors. Saves depositors the work of moving between strategies but puts another smart-contract layer between them and their capital. The convenience premium must be weighed against the additional contract surface area and the strategy risk of whoever is managing the routing logic.
TradFi equivalentA fund of funds. It buys convenience and strategy diversification at the cost of another fee layer, another manager's judgment and another contract standing between the holder and the assets.
